About

Dania Ramos is a writer, audio producer, and arts educator.

Dania is the creator and head writer of the middle-grade fiction podcast Timestorm, produced by Cocotazo Media in partnership with TRAX from PRX. Timestorm was named a 2022 Anthem Awards silver medalist, a 2020 Webby Awards Honoree, and a Common Sense Selection. Her stage plays have been produced or developed by Luna Stage, Writers Theatre of New Jersey, Speranza Theatre Company, Vivid Stage, Repertorio Español, and Teatro Vivo. Her dramatic works have received recognition from the Nuestras Voces National Playwriting Competition (finalist), the Henley Rose Playwright Competition (finalist), and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (playwriting fellowship). Dania’s the author of the middle-grade mystery novels Ignacio in the Dark and Who’s Ju? (2015 Intl. Latino Book Award for Best YA eBook, 2015 ILBA Mariposa Award finalist, 2017 Sakura Medal nominee).

Dania brings over twenty years of experience teaching theatre and creative writing for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and other arts organizations. She currently writes, hosts, and co-produces NJPAC On the Mic, an audio resource for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center’s Schooltime Performances series. She’s also a Wilkes University Graduate Creative Writing program faculty member.

Dania received an MA in creative writing from Wilkes University and a BFA in theatre performance from Montclair State University. She’s a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, the WGAE Audio Alliance, Kids Listen, The Podcast Academy, and Actors Equity Association.
